Monica & Bobby

September 3, 2007 |

One of the rewarding aspects of making wedding videos is the friendships we make during the course of a wedding.  We are frequently the first vendor to arrive and the last to leave on the wedding day.  Between the time spent with a couple and their family on the day of the wedding, plus pre-wedding meetings, and the many hours it takes to edit a video, by the time a video is finished, we feel like we really got to know some great people on one of the happiest days of their lives.  When we get the opportunity to shoot a second wedding for a family, it is a honor

This was the case on April 21st, a beautiful spring day, when we had the pleasure of shooting Monica & Bobby’s wedding in Wightman Chapel at Scarritt Bennett Center.  They had a fabulous wedding with a large wedding party filled with family and friends, many of them we had gotten to know when we shot Monica’s cousin Keishana’s wedding last summer.

Monica looked beautiful in a lovely wedding dress with a train that filled the aisle as she was escorted to the altar.  One of the many fun moments of the day was when Bobby whipped out a pair of sunglasses as he started to escort Monica down the aisle during the recessional.  Another highlight was the emotional toast that Monica’s daughter Tasha gave during the reception.

The reception was held at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Nashville and featured great food and some terrific dancing.
